Rainbow PLA filament

I wanted to print some items on the 3D printer (PolyPrinter perhaps) with rainbow PLA or ABS. Just to test out color changes and see how that works.

Do we have any rainbow filament?

Does PolyPrinter company make rainbow filament. I think I remember generic filament does not work all that well with the PolyPrinter. The factory made PolyPrinter just works best. Is that information correct?

Is there a recommended 3D printer that CAN use the generic filament?

Thanks

Hello, I have recently been experimenting with rainbow filament at home and it pretty cool but has its limits. From what I have found the rainbow effect only works on huge parts. I want to experiment with using larger print nozzles to see if that helps. I printed a 150mm tall bust and it only shifted between two colors. :frowning:

Here is what I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B085ZJ31BW
This looks like it would be better: https://www.amazon.com/iSANMATE-Filament-Multicolor-Dimensional-Accuracy/dp/B07VGQ58J8

Hi Bryan

I’m not sure if even the second product would give me the “look” I’m looking for. My model weighs 34 grams but they should be printed in pairs. They are fidget toys / puzzles. Four printed simultaneously might give me the look I’m looking for but not sure.

If you’re interested I could send you the stl file (2031 KB) for you to print, or anyone else.
